Dartmouth was met with a very hungry Red Wolves pack that had been starving for some good rugby this season. Dartmouth started the tour in Jonesboro hoping to get a good kickoff against the Arkansas State Red Wolves but ASU was looking forward to playing against the leaders of the Ivy League conference.
A bad start to the pack saw Dartmouth run in a 75 meter try off an intercept that resulted from miscommunication in the ASU backline. The ASU supporters that came out in droves on a Thursday afternoon was left startled with anticipation of good competition from Dartmouth. With ASU finally getting their act together, the team formed up to run in a brace of tries led by Captain and Man of the match – Nardus Wessels.
Dartmouth succumb to the might of the ASU pack answering their 49 point tally with 17 points to end the game with ASU modest victors of good competition.
