The rumours are true and now you are hearing it from the horses mouth - The State Old Boys are back in town. Recent unplanned meetings by the pioneers of Arkansas State Rugby, has sparked rumours that ASU Rugby Alumni are coming together in the humble town of Jonesboro, AR. 

Now, not only are the rumours true, but news of the alumni rugby team has hit mainstream media (Redwolvesrugby.com is mainstream enough). And the announcement that the State Old Boys Rugby team forming, has now become official. With All American Alumni - Yves Pichavant at the helm of all old boys develpment, the State Old Boys Rugby team is looking to get the ball rolling slow but steadily beginning this Wednesday. 

Practice/ Touch Rugby for all those interested, will be held on Wednesdays at 6.00pm at the ASU rugby pitch. Be there on time, or else old age will catch up to you. The time has come for the cobwebs collecting on your rugby boots to be cleaned, bringing out that 1962 spit shine. 

The Annual Alumni Weekend which was scheduled for September 4th-6th, 2009 has been postponed to the September 18th-20th, 2009 weekend. The planned events haven't changed and are detailed below but there will also be a game between the ASU First XV against the Atlanta Renegades on the same weekend.

There will be a get-together on Friday night at the Brickhouse Bar & Grill on Main Street. The weekend's planned events will be a little different this year as we look to get our alumni more involved with the rugby program. There will be a alumni tent at the field and there will be dinner and drinks available to all alumni. Other activities include akicking contest, raffle, slip and slide and fun stuff.  We are asking for donation of $100 which gets you a cup, t-shirt, dinner and beverages at the field. We are raising money to pay off the scoreboard and buy a new scrum machine. There will also be a Sunday family pool party at Joe Barrett's house.  Watch or play some rugby, catch up with old friends and support the ASU Red Wolves Rugby Program.

A new landmark in Arkansas State Rugby has been established thanks to the generous donations of the ASU Rugby Alumni .
